Paul E. Black

An AV lawyer since 1988, Paul E. Black is the second most senior tenured member of the firm whose practice ranges from lead counsel in nation-wide class action litigation to pro bono representation in domestic relations matters. Paul is a highly accomplished mediator and arbitration panel member. His practice includes assisting clients in the areas of banking, commercial transactions, creditor’s rights, disability law, civil litigation, and medical law in which he chairs numerous Indiana Medical Review Panels.

Paul joined Bowers Harrison, LLP and its predecessor in 1974 after serving in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps.

Paul presently serves as President of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. Paul has also chaired or referred positions of responsibility in the Evansville Bar Association and Foundation; Brooks Inns of Court, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, Magistrate Select Committee, the Indiana Post-Secondary Education Commission, the state and local Arthritis Foundation, the County Election Board, Public Broadcasting host of radio and television productions, University of Evansville International Alumni Association, the United Church of Christ, Vanderburgh County Public Education Foundation, Good Samaritan Nursing Home Board, Rolling Hills Country Club and many other civic, educational and professional groups.
